You see a suspicious flying bug. Is it a termite or an ant?
Ohio Exterminating now offers the Sentricon Termite Elimination System. The most significant advancement the pest control industry has seen in over 50 years. It is more convenient and less intrusive than traditional methods.

Both termites and carpenter ants can cause damage to wooden structures. Termites, however, are much more damaging in that the wood in your home is their source of food. In the United States, termites cause more damage to homes than all natural disasters combined.  Carpenter ants cause their damage by excavating wood to create galleries (open spaces) in which to live.

Property Protection: A Three-step Process:
The Sentricon System provides property protection through a three-step process: detection of termites, elimination of termite colonies and preventive protection against re-infestation by regular monitoring for new termite activity. A highly trained and specially authorized pest management professional called an Authorized Operator installs inconspicuous Sentricon stations in the soil around the perimeter of your structure. Wood-based monitoring devices are included in the station at the time of installation, and these devices are routinely examined by your Authorized Operator for signs of termite infestation. When the monitoring devices show significant termite activity, they are replaced with a Baitube device containing Recruit II termite bait.

You hear buzzing and it looks mean. Is it a bumblebee or a yellow jacket?

Carpenter bees are frequently confused with bumble bees. How can you tell the difference?Bees

If you see a bee disappear into a perfectly round hole in a wood overhang and it looks like the bee in the picture, then it is a carpenter bee. They look big and mean but they don't sting.

Cicada Killers look like yellow jackets on steroids. They are not as aggressive as yellow jackets but they do have the ability to sting you if they feel threatened.

Hornets nests are large, papery, and usually located up high in trees or shrubs.  Wasp and mud dauber nests are smaller  and have a rough exterior.Flying BugYellow Jacket
